The views of the players and coaches on the 1-0 loss away to 1860 Munich.
Rainer Maurer (1860 coach): We saw an intensive and attacking game here today. I would like to praise my team. After losing in Fürth they were aggressive and ran well for each other from the start. It gives me special pleasure to have beaten the best team in division two. Now the team knows that they can beat any team. On the whole I am very satisfied with how our season has gone so far.
Markus Babbel: It was a bitter defeat for us here today, because we played well for long periods of the game. After Lauth's dream goal we did not let our heads drop though, but always tried to get forward. The only slight criticism of my lads is the lack of potency in front of goal today. The team is still alive though, and I am confident that we will reward ourselves at home to Aue.
Pierre-Michel Lasogga: We have had to accept an unnecessary defeat here today. I have the feeling that until Sejna was sent off on 82 minutes, that 1860 only had one shot on goal, and that was the one they eventually won the game with. We were the busier team and continually tried to create chances. We were simply out of luck today, and that is sometimes how you lose such games.
Nico Schulz: We played quite well but had no luck in front of goal, that is why we lost 0-1 today. We will remain calm though, and we have the quality to beat Aue next weekend and we will do just that.
Alfredo Morales: You always feel bad after losing. We didn't play badly, but we were missing the telling final pass to the front line. It is especially annoying to lose to such a one-off shot. Despite it all I was delighted to be given my debut in such a stadium today.
